FLY FISHING FOR GOLDEN TROUT

This was a quick one day hike into the mountains for Golden Trout. I was fortunate enough to catch a few of them on my fly rod. Great fighting fish. Returned to the vehicle with many blisters, black toenails and in need of new boots! See artwork and more videos at www.zachevenart.com

Glad you liked the video! There are no cutbows in this video. Many were without question pure Golden, but I too wondered about some of them being crosses. The biologist told me there is nothing but pures in this lake so that’s all I have to go on.

Very nice video. Although, those are not pure strain golden trout. One fish you held up was a cut-bow (cutthroat rainbow hybrid) and the other were gold-bows (golden-rainbow).
